RasPBeRrY JAm...YuM.....

I just got a 14 lb. box of Raspberries from Oregon. YUM!  Since we will be moving to Texas in June I had to make cooked jam instead of our favorite freezer jam.  I think I have a years supply of pretty red raspberry jam now.  Now.......What to do with all of our 28 tomato plants that are thriving in the backyard, not to mention my beautiful flowers I just planted.

T A L L Y.......

Showing off their skills in Scottsdale @ Grandma Lamas
Tally has been a bowl full of excitement!  She has a personality that is outgoing and sincere.  She goes through life up for the challenge and if she really wants to overcome that challenge......she will!  She is a great teacher and loves to help others succeed.  She is especially gifted when she works with the special ed. kids.  She is a friend to all and likes to keep busy.  She is known to her friends as "A Grandma"  because she can't seem to stay up very late.  She is usually exhausted by 9:00pm.

Macey, Tally & Anna at the Mesa Temple.  It was a beautiful day.
Tally loves her Grandpa Oswald.  This picture was taken at Chad's wedding last year.  She's probably the only one that can charm Grandpa on to the dance floor.

Tally has been a Volleyball coach for Bonanza High School for 2 years now.  She is the Freshmen coach and also coaches the club team.  The girls really love her and she loves them.  Christian and Bailey loved going to the games, mostly because of the snackbar I'm sure.

Tally is a wonderful daughter and doing so well.  We are so proud of all she has accomplished and the goals she has set for herself.  We love you Tal!

THE JOY OF A CHILD.....

THIS IS LITTLE ISAAC!  I GET TO SEE HIM TWICE EACH WEEK AND HE MAKES ME SMILE!

THIS IS MISS KATE!  SHE BRINGS JOY TO MY DAY!  I GET TO SPEND TIME WITH HER EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNINGS!

THERE IS A SPECIAL SWEETNESS IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN.
 THEY LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
THEY LAUGH WHEN YOU PUT PLAYDOUGH IN YOUR NOSE,
THEY CALL YOU SILLY IF YOU SAY SOMETHING WEIRD,
IF YOU GIVE THEM  A LOT OF ATTENTION, THEY WON'T LEAVE YOUR SIDE,
IF YOU CHASE THEM ON THE PLAYGROUND, YOU ARE THEIR BEST FRIEND,
IF YOUR SAD, THEY WILL BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY WITHOUT FAIL!

Coleman........

Coleman is our oldest son and is truely a gift to us.  He has so many wonderful qualities and we are so proud of all that he has done so far in his life.  Being the oldest is a lot of pressure.  He has handled it all well!  He is kind, meek, caring, very adventurous, a great older brother and has a great disposition.  He recently bought his first home and his sister Tally lives there with him.  They have become very good friends.  Along with Coleman's job with Metro, he has also joined the National Guard!  He has high ambitions for himself........no wonder he always got the THRILL-SEEKER AWARD in scouts.  We love you son!

Grandma Joni's Birthday

Grandma Joni turned "72" a few days ago.  She has been a huge blessing in our family.  She loves all of my kids and wants to be involved in all they do.  She has come to see the girls before they go to the High School dances and she has come to watch Volleyball and Basketball games.  She invites Bailey and Christian over for sleepovers and gives them popsicles in the bathtub.......then takes them to the dollar store to each spend $5.00.  Grandpa usually takes them fishing at Floyd Lamb State park while Grandma gets ready for the 2 hour McDonalds outing for dinner.  Thank-You Joni for sharing your heart with our family.

Backyard Can Burial....

PART 1:   After the boys were fast asleep, or though I thought...........Christian came downstairs and said..."Mom, I have a good idea......we could all like put things that we did in a can and then we could bury the can in the backyard!"  I said....."Like what kinds of things?"  ....."Like when Bailey is rude or when I draw pictures of you on the furniture."  "Oh, I said, like bad things?  "Yea"!  He then kissed me on the cheek and headed back upstairs.  Court and I looked at each other and wondered how he came up with such an idea.

PART 2: Tonight after story time I decided to bring Christian's idea up again. " What was your can idea Christian?" Like when I say ..."Butt-head," I can write it on a piece of paper and put it in the can to be burried, then when I look in the backyard I will remember not to say bad words or do bad things.  "Oh, where did you hear this idea I asked?"  Bailey said..."It was on the Grandma Ginger Stories that we listen to at bedtime."  WOW...  They are paying attention to the stories at bedtime!

I NEED TO FIND A BIG TIN CAN AND DIG A LARGE HOLE IN THE BACKYARD TOMORROW!  I can cut the paper strips and FHE will be planned for next Monday!

Spring.....

Spring is in the air!  After work today I went to the Star Nursury to browse through all of their plants and flowers.  It is one of my most favorite things to do!  I love the changing of seasons and the time to plant new flowers and seeds in my garden. Geraniums are probably my all time favorite but then I also love planting Zinnias by seed.  It's always amazing to me to see the seeds pop up and become beautiful flowers.  I can never wear gloves, there is just something about getting my hands in the soil that brings joy for the moment (It always takes me a day or so to get my hands and nails clean and soft again.)

FAITH..........

KEEP A GREEN TREE IN YOUR HEART AND PERHAPS A SINGING BIRD WILL COME.

Faith is knowing the sun will rise, lighting each new day.
Faith is knowing the Lord will hear my prayers each time I pray.
Faith is like a little seed; If planted it will grow.
Faith is a swelling within my heart.
When I do right I know.
Faith is knowing I lived with God before my mortal birth.
Faith is knowing I can return when my life ends on earth.
Faith is trust in God above; In Christ who showed the way.
Joseph Smith
Faith is strengthened; I feel it grow whenever I obey.
