FEBRUARY BLESSINGS.....

FEBRUARY BLESSINGS

-Enough wind to fly a kite.

-Our fruit trees and spring bulbs are in bloom.

-My job teaching preschool brings so much joy! I love it!

-Court got two more job opportunities.

-Tally bought a cute VW bug with her own money!

-Grandma Joni is recovering well.

-We have the most inspirational Stake President

-Life is GOOD

I got all 24 pairs of these awesome socks for $1.80 each. I love Dillard's when they have their "take an extra 40% off the already
clearanced price." They were originally about 7-9$ each. My girls think I'm crazy but I have a fetish for warm, cozy, soft new socks. I think I went a little overboard this year. Good thing I stayed focused and didn't vear off into any other departments. It was just me and my socks today.

OF ART. WHETHER IT BE WITH FABRIC, FURNITURE,

PAINT, FOOD OR GARDENING. THERE IS A CERTAIN

JOY THAT COMES WITH EACH CREATION. IT IS

VERY IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE YOUR TALENTS

AND BE ABLE TO USE THEM TO BRING HAPPINESS

AND JOY TO YOUR FAMILY AND OTHERS. I'M

GRATEFUL TO MY MOM FOR ALWAYS SHARING

HER TALENTS. I SEE THE SAME TALENTS IN MY

CHILDREN AND PRAY FOR EACH OF THEM TO SEEK

OUT THOSE GIFTS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN

Family Home Evening & A Desire to do Better

Last night we were invited to President Christensen's home for dinner and a lesson. President Christensen is the mission president here in the Vegas East Mission. Gary new him from his mission and just recently connected with him. What a wonderful experience to be in the mission home. Anna, Bailey and Christian were with us and there was another couple invited as well. President Christensen and his wife Toby and their daughter Hannah made a delicious dinner.........It was FANCY! I was a little worried about the boys but I was impressed by how well they did. There was such a wonderful spirit in their home. It was like the temple! Brother Weed gave a wonderful lesson and had Bailey and Christian help out. I was once again impressed with the boys answers to his questions. Christian was Hysterical! I was overcome with a desire to teach my children more about the gospel. I had a desire to study more myself. It needs to be more important to me. It needs to be done daily and it needs to be written down as a goal. I have always done really well when I have a set of goals that are written down and I can see them everyday. I love a Challenge!
I really needed to feel the spirit of this night. I love the gospel with all my heart. Happiness comes through living a good life. Happiness comes when we make right choices. Happiness comes when we serve others. Happiness is a blessing from our Heavenly Father and a gift we receive through obedience.

"I LOVE MY 3 GIRLS"

I've been thinking a lot about friends lately. Good friends always lift you up and make you feel loved. I have a lot of good friends that mean a lot to me. Their is ******* that I love to go to the temple with on Friday mornings. We always have so much to talk about and she always makes me feel like I'm a wonderful mother and friend. I love her! She has been there for me for at least 20 years. I can share all my feelings with her and I trust that she will keep them safe. She is a great example to me of a great friend!
There is also ***** who is so fun to be with. We know so much about each others families and feel safe sharing our deepest feelings and concerns for our children. She has been there for me when I have had some really tough times. We could be like sisters.......I feel totally comfortable around her and we are a lot alike in so many ways. We have so much fun shopping together and lunch is always fun as well. I love her!
**** is a great friend who I can always count on. I don't think I have ever heard her say a negative thing about anyone. She is a great mother and a great example of womanhood. She has served me in times of need and I love her for that!
I have a dear friend ******who is so crazy and creative! She is a friend of mine because she loves three of my kids and has made an impact on them. My three kids are very close with her and always feel welcome in her home. She lifts them in times of need and helps them develop their talents by always having projects and fun activities going on at her home. I love her because she loves my kids! Thats BIG!

There are so many friends I could talk about. There are so many people that are important to me. It takes effort to be a good friend! Real 100% effort! A friendship is 2-sided. I hope I am considered a good friend.........I want to be better, to lift and serve and share my talents to build others. I'm thankful for my friends and all those that have been an influence for good in my life. I'm thankful for my church where a lot of my friendships have begun. I know that my father in heaven knows me by name and has a plan for me here on this earth. I know that my friends are placed in my path for a reason. I know God lives and is there to listen to my prayers and comfort me when times are tough. I'm thankful that Jesus Christ was perfect and set that perfect example for us to follow. I'm thankful that I can repent and make new goals each week to be a better mother, spouse, and friend. I look forward to living with God again!
